Set in the grounds surrounding a carp fishing lake, with beautiful views across open countryside it lies just 2½ miles from the delightful market town of Stow-on the-Wold, with its good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Bourton-on-the-Water and the Cotswold Wildlife Park are among a superb array of visitor attractions to be found within a short drive, whilst only a little further afield visitors can enjoy excellent shopping and fascinating historical sites at Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham and Cirencester. Golf 4 miles. Pub 1½ miles, shops 2½ miles.

If you are looking for a wonderfull quiet holiday, this is the place to be. Lots of things to see and do in this area and coming back to Brooke Hill where you hear birds sing. The lodge is well equipped, very clean and bright, and the owners very kind. We loved to stay here.

Our holiday cottages in Oxfordshire are ideally placed to explore not only the Oxfordshire countryside but also the many great buildings, museums and cultural amenities the county is blessed with.
Without a doubt, the ancient university town of Oxford is the highlight. Here, in the city of dreaming spires, you can explore the colleges and marvel at the breathtaking architecture, so familiar from TV’s Morse. The Ashmolean Museum here is a veritable treasure chest of works of art. And then there’s Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, ancestral home of the Churchill family. This amazing baroque masterpiece puts most other country houses in the shade, and features some magnificent décor, as well as wonderful gardens.
Other interesting places for a day out from one of our holiday cottages in Oxfordshire include the charming town of Burford, with its fine houses in glorious Cotswold stone, as well as Woodstock and Chipping Norton, also in the Cotswolds. Fans of William Morris should go to Kelmscott, the village where he and his followers established the arts and crafts movement. The picturesque village of Great Tew is also within easy reach.
